Rupert Murdoch (1931) is a Australian businessman, best known as owner of newspapers like "The Times", "The Sun", "The Sunday Times", "The Daily Mirror" and the tv network "Fox Television". During the 1980s his newspapers supported the Thatcher administration.

Murdoch was frequently attacked on "Spitting Image", often in association with the subjective and trashy nature of his newspapers. He seemed to believe every lie his newpapers spread, no matter how outrageously unbelievable it was. When he talked he often ended his sentences with a belch or a fart.

His journalists were often caricatured as pigs or vultures.
